Switchfoot has released this powerful video for its new single, “The Sound (John M. Perkins’ Blues),” one of the most acclaimed tracks from the HELLO HURRICANE album. The clip opens with a visual nod to Bob Dylan’s iconic “Subterranean Homesick Blues” video and blends in Civil Rights era footage to match the song’s message.
“We are a haunted nation. Whether we admit it or not, the past runs through our veins,” says Switchfoot lead singer Jon Foreman. “Listen to the streets, they’ll tell you the same … but rising above the constant gnawing of past wrongs is the song of Love … This is the sound.”
